Lesson 10 First Second Third

一、教学目的：
1． 复习所学基数词，以及1至12月的月份名称。
2． 基数词，序数词的听、说、读、写及运用，尤其是1至12的序数词。
3、 能正确理解运用句型“What day is it?”进行交际。
二、教学重点：
1． 能正确听、说、读、写，运用基数词、序数词。
2． 句型“What day is it?”和“What’s the date?”及其答语。
三、教具准备：
自制台历，星期的卡片，录音机及磁带。
四、教学过程：
（一）Class opening and review
1、Greeting :
T: Hello, everyone ! How’s the weather today ? How do you feel ? 2.Chant : Month chant .
T: Are you happy ? Let’s say the “Month chant”.
（二）New concepts
Step 1.Race and introduce ordinal numbers
T：How many boys in our class? How many girls?
S:_____ boys /girls .
T：Now we will have a race .Who want to be the volunteers ?
T: Tell them how to play this game .
S: Have the match .
T:(教师手指第一个数完的学生)：“xx is the first, first ,first. ”并板书“first ”板书时与one 放在一行。
同样方法教学second， third ，fourth ……，板书成如下格式：
1．One first
2.two second
3.three third
4.four fourth
5.five fifth
6.six sixth
7.seven seventh
T：Ask the questions such as :
1.Who is the third in your line ?
2.Which month is the tenth ?
Step 2 : Practice
T: Sunday is the first day of the week . Let’s say the other days , OK ?
Ss: Practice together .
Note: 教到“Saturday is the seventh”之后，告诉学生表示星期的第一个字母必须大写，在西方国家每个星期的第一天是星期日，与中国不同。
Step 3 : Conclusion
T: Look at these ordinal numbers carefully . What can you find ?
T:让学生自己找规律，如何记这几个单词Example, four, fourth, six, sixth，只在基数词后加“th”既变为基数词。其他的nine, ninth要告诉学生规律，将词尾“e”去掉。
T: Show the chant to help students remember these words.
Chant : 1,2,3 特殊记，th 从4起，8加h，9去e，
拿来f代ve, ty 变成tie .
Step 4 : Exercises
fifteen -- twenty-- twenty-one twenty-nine
Step 5:Demonstrate “What day is it ?”
T:(边出示台历边说)：“what day is it?
T: It’s Thursday, March twenty-ninth.”
Step 6 : Enforcement: “What day is it?”
Practice: “ what day is it? It’s—”
T: Use the English calendar to practice with partners and show .
Step 7 :Student book
Play the audiotape and follow to read .

课后反思：
执教了这节课后，自己的感觉就是整堂课的设计内容安排上前松后紧，应再调整时间的分配。
通过和校领导、英语组的教师的研讨，我进行了认真思考：
一、充分考虑学生的知识水平和认知能力，做到收放自如。比如，在教学本节课的first ，second ，third …tenth之后,可放手让学生完成11至19的序数词的变化练习. 总结出示歌谣之后,让学生自己写出twenty的变化形式.这些都是他们能力范围之内的,所以在课堂上我也努力这样做的,只是实际操作中效果还欠佳些.
二、重视情境的创设，给孩子们真实的语言环境。中低年级的英语教学提倡形象直观性，主张在真实的语言环境中培养学生的英语语言技能。所以在我们的课堂教学设计上要充分考虑到这一点。在这节课开课伊始，我设计了学生比赛数数的游戏，目的是想通过数的速度快慢来呈现first， second ，third…的整体感知，但可能由于学生对游戏规则理解的不明确，出现了同步数的状况。从而对于新知的呈现也就不那么尽如人意了。今后在这样的情景创设上应考虑周到，尽量做到真实，不能牵强的为创设情境而预设。
